About Tanglin Kitchen Atelier
A joinery studio that only makes kitchens.
Tanglin Kitchen Atelier began in 2009 as a two-man carpentry outfit in Sin Ming, fitting out HDB kitchens for neighbours who kept sending their neighbours. We never widened into wardrobes, feature walls or full ID packages — the kitchen is the hardest room in the house to get right, and it is the only room we build.
Seventeen years later the studio is eleven people: two designers, six carpenters, a stone templater and two project managers. Everything is drawn in-house, cut in our own workshop and installed by our own team. Nothing is subcontracted, which is the simplest reason our finishing is consistent.
We've built more than 1,400 kitchens across Singapore — from 3-room flats in Toa Payoh where every centimetre is fought for, to landed kitchens in Bukit Timah with a nine-foot island. The care is the same.

Design to install, in six steps.
The whole programme typically runs three to five weeks from first measure to handover.
Free consultation & measure
We come to your home, laser-measure every wall, note the bulkheads and service points, and talk through how you actually cook — wok heat, dish drying, where the rice cooker lives.
3D design & itemised quote
Within five working days you receive photoreal 3D drawings from three angles plus a line-by-line quote. Nothing is bundled into a vague 'carpentry' figure.
You approve the drawing
Move a cabinet, change a laminate, add a drawer bank. Revisions are free until the drawing is right. Production only begins on your written sign-off.
Workshop build
Carcasses are cut, edge-banded and assembled at our Sin Ming workshop, then quality-checked against the approved drawing before they leave.
Installation
Two to four days on site with our own installers — never subcontracted. Floors are protected, and we sweep at the end of every day.
Handover & warranty
We align every door, demonstrate the hardware, hand over care notes and register your 2-year workmanship warranty.

2-year workmanship warranty
Doors, alignment, joinery and installation, covered from handover day.
Hardware warranty
Soft-close hinges and runners carry the manufacturer's warranty of up to 10 years.
Moisture-resistant build
MR plywood carcass under sinks and wet zones as standard, never bare particleboard.
Fixed price after approval
The quote you sign is the invoice you pay, unless you change the scope.
